Artists' Statement My work revolves around a collection of vivid, hand-dyed fabrics that I have stamped, silk screened, painted or dyed. The colorful, textured fabrics are my inspiration for creating art quilts as are stories of my family, friends and home. Each wall piece I make is of my own design, usually of fused appliqué and machine quilted. The combination of fabric and story result in pictorial quilts that are often narratives of my life. |
