The base fabric is a screen printed fabric with multiple synonyms of "Thinking About" overlaid with another screen print of multiple synonyms of "Fuss-Fume-Bother" which represents the discussion on the list. I used various threads in a variety of hand embroidery stitches to suggest the many facets of discussion; some end up in spirals; some go off the page; some are golden; some are crosses. Finally, I did a bit of what I like to do--figurative---of my hands working on the piece. I had to use the self-timer on my camera (it was new and so that was a challenge) to take a photo of each of my hands holding the piece; I used these photos as reference for the final stitching. The piece is pillow-case turned with a backing of black huck-toweling; a treasure from my mother's sewing room representing the history of sewing.
